APPLE HAND PIES

What did you make?
APPLE HAND PIES

Where did you find this recipe?
THIS RECIPE CAME FROM TWO DIFFERENT PLACES: THE DOUGH RECIPE CAME FROM JEAN AT DELIGHTFUL REPAST AND WAS POSTED ON THE CUISINART SITE, AND THE HAND PIE RECIPE IS BY NICOLE HUNN ON GLUTEN FREE ON A SHOESTRING.

Did you make any changes to the recipe?
FOR THE DOUGH RECIPE, I HAD TO ADD A THIRD CUP EXTRA OF SORGHUM FLOUR AND POTATO STARCH BECAUSE THE DOUGH WAS TOO WET. I USED EARTH BALANCE SOY FREE BAKING STICKS INSTEAD OF BUTTER, AND LEMON JUICE, NOT VINEGAR. IN THE OTHER RECIPE I USED RICE MILK INSTEAD OF CREAM.

Did you enjoy making this recipe?
I DID.

What did you like most about this recipe?
MY FAVORITE PART WAS USING THE FORK AROUND THE EDGES OF THE PIES.

What was your least favorite part?
MY LEAST FAVORITE PART WAS SLICING THE APPLES INTO TINY PIECES BECAUSE IT WAS HARD!

How does the recipe taste?
THEY TASTE SUPER GOOD!

Do you think other kids could make this recipe?
WITH QUITE A BIT OF HELP FROM THEIR PARENTS, YES.

Will you make this recipe again in the future?
DEFINITELY!

If you make this recipe again, will you make any changes?
I WOULD PROBABLY MAKE THE DOUGH A LITTLE BIT THINNER.
